DESCRIPTION
Salt-glazed stoneware vase by Doulton designed by Hannah Barlow (1851-1916). Hannah joined Doulton in 1871 and was their first ever female artist; examples of her work are held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This vase is an early example of her work and is decorated with a scene of wild horses with a mountainous landscape in the background. Signed and dated 1874.

CONDITION
There are no cracks but two of the flowers on the lower ring are chipped (this is reflected in the price) - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
