DESCRIPTION
Two very large glass lenses encapsulated in a brass case mounted on a varnished oak base.  They are a marriage (they did not begin life together), the lens likely originates from a magic lantern and the base likely from a trophy – both date from around 1900.    
 
DIMENSIONS – H: 28cm including base.  Lens Ø22cm including case.
 
CONDITION
Overall everything is in good original condition.  The front lens has some very light surface scratches (quite hard to see) and the back lens has light scratches and very tiny chips to the center of the glass (again quite hard to see).  The case has marks, wear and a couple of tiny dents and the base has a little wear; all consistent with their age - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
