DESCRIPTION
Discovered in Wiltshire this original Art Deco period Champagne cooler was made in Paris, France. A quality piece it is made from heavy gauge brass with lead handles in the form of grape vines and is marked “ARGIT PARIS MODÈLE DÉPOSÉ” plus the makers mark to the base.  It would have been silver plated when new but a hundred years or so of cleaning and life has left it a beautiful mellow golden colour.  It has embossed lettering in typical Art Deco font and is a very useful and flexible decorative item.  If you don’t want to use if for your Champagne it would make a fantastic waste paper basket or bathroom bin etc.
 
DIMENSIONS – H:  19.5cm - 19.5cm x 18.5cm at the top (it has been very slightly squashed).

CONDITION
It has numerous dinks and dents all over and has been very slightly squashed at some point (although it still sits very well on a flat surface).  There are also some very small bits of tarnish here and there but on this piece all these things add character and make it a unique item.  Please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
