DESCRIPTION
A dry preserved deep-sea fish; probably an Armoured sea robin or Jaggedhead Gurnard, mounted on an ebonized Bakelite stand. 
They are a family of ray-finned fishes belonging to the suborder Platycephaloidei in the order Scorpaeniformes and are found in the deep water in the tropical and warm temperate of the world's oceans.
