DESCRIPTION

A finely carved stone architectural fragment (possibly a corbel) in the form of Hercules, the Roman hero, demigod and son of Zeus.  Likely dating from the 17th century (although it could be earlier).

DIMENSIONS – H:  18cm

CONDITION

Despite being over 400 years old he is in very good condition; there is wear but his features remain defined and he stands well on his own - please look very closely at the pictures as they form part of the description.
